Advanced tACS
An advanced tACS device must have direct USB control, be powered with a universal switchmode power supply from 120-240 VAC, and have electrical isolation between both the computer and the output and between the AC line and the output. Multiple redundant current limiters will be required, and the output sample rate should be 1kHz, with at least 10-bit precision along an output current range limited in hardware to +/- 2mA.
This device will be controlled on the software side with a Python script which produces the serial output signal to the tACS device via a USB-to-Serial converter.
